We would rather give your travelers passes than pay you $2.66.

That is not a figure of speech. LeftLane has had exactly one referral sale in its life and it credited the partner $2.66. Our payment provider does not release a payout until the balance reaches $50, and about four in a thousand visitors buy anything.

Work it through and it takes nineteen sales, somewhere near five thousand clicks, before a partner earns one dollar.

We ran an affiliate program on those numbers and it was not honest to keep pitching it. A commission arrangement still exists and we will explain it to anyone who asks how it works. We just do not think it is worth your time, and we would rather hand you something your travelers can use tonight.

What LeftLane is not.

It is not a driving school, a local-rules course, or a substitute for real-world driving instruction. It does not report back to you: your traveler sees their own results on their own device and nobody else does, us included.

It is practical preparation for licensed travelers who want the first ten minutes to feel less new.
